That Light Bulb Moment
Hey Bloggers! I have been so busy lately that I haven’t even told you about the new PRE-CUT stamp range from Creative Expressions called ‘Singles’! Last night I decided to make a tag using my new ‘Light Bulb‘ stamp. There are a few other NEW Pre-cut designs you can check out HERE.
I started off with a large Manilla Tag which I then ran through the Grand Calibur using the ‘Replacements‘ embossing folder, this has to been done twice because of the tag being so large. I then distressed using Rusty Hinge and vintage photo distress ink using a piece of cutndry foam, and then walnut stain around the edge of the tag. I then took the BRAND NEW Cosmic Shimmer Gilding Wax and applied a little on my finger tip and rubbed over the top of the raised embossing folder design. I used the ‘Deep Red’. I cant stress enough how COOL these new Gilding Waxes are…I can see mine getting used A LOT! These will be arriving on the shop very soon so I will keep you posted as to when they are available.
The Light bulb images were stamped on White Cardstock and coloured with Scattered Straw Distress Marker and then highlighted with a white Pen. The sentiments and grid stamps were from my ‘SteamPunk Shoes‘ stamp set which I stamped on to Kraft Cardstock, teared the edges and distressed with Walnut Stain Distress Ink. And then I also used the ‘Dream’ and ‘Create’ Tickets from the A6 ‘Tickets‘ stamp set and stamped onto Kraft Cardstock.
The cogs were die cut from the ‘Sprightly Sprockets‘ Spellbinder die set in Black Cardstock and then I rubbed more of the ‘Deep Red’ Gilding Wax over the top of them. To finish I took some Cream Vintage Seam Binding and dyed the ribbon using Rusty Hinge and Vintage Photo Distress Ink.
I hope you like today’s tag….as you can see from my fingers I had a lot of fun getting inky last night ![]()
All for now, S@m x

Fabulous work Sam. I went looking for the Gilding wax, but I guess I need to be patient a little while longer. Hugs Rita xx
