New Years Resolution
Hey Bloggers! So how many of you have made a crafty new years resolution?? Well this is mine…
The talented Kate Crane has a monthly challenge of creating a journal page for each month and keeping a crafty diary….Brilliant idea or what! I can’t say I am one for writing down my thoughts but keeping a crafty diary really appeals to me. I have created a little box for each month and just plan to enter a little comment of what I have done on that day so I can look back one day in the future. I also thought it would be nice as a diary of stamp designs that I have created (Yes there is a sneak peek of my latest designs on here)
For this monthly challenge I bought myself an A4 Kraft Journal from Paperchase so I can stick in all my monthly pages. For this month I started out with two sheets of Milk cardstock and applied Old Paper, Vintage Photo and Tumbled Glass Distress Stains by dabbing the Distress Stains onto my non-stick craft mat, spritzing with water and then swiping my cardstock onto it. Once dry I used the Stone Mask with Tumbled Glass distress ink. I also used one of Wendy Vecchi’s stencils called Dots & Stripes Borders to create the barcode look around the edge of the page with black soot distress in. And then I used an old numbers and alphabet stencil and distressed with vintage photo. The ‘January’ wording was stamped using my clear Vintage Alphabet stamp set.
I will be back soon to reveal my new stamp set ![]()
All for now, S@m x
