Guest Designer Gillian Simson
Hey Bloggers! It is my pleasure to introduce our second Guest Designer for Creative Studios…Gillian Simson! I love Gillian’s vintage/grunge style so I was thrilled when she accepted my offer to do a guest designer piece for my blog. Gillian is a Wife, Mother and Craftaholic! She has been crafting for more years than she cares to remember. Her first passion is rubber stamping and love for all things that have a vintage/distressed feel to them. ‘I was delighted when Sam asked me to be a Guest Designer on her blog using her newly released Art House Stamps. I’m having so much fun using these designs’
Ink up a rectangle Art Part using Distress Inks (Mowed Lawn & Evergreen Bough), dry with heat again once depth of colour is achieved. Stamp Art Collage A6 Stamp Set using Archival Ink (Jet Black). Set aside to dry.
Stamp various house images from Art House A5 Stamp Set onto Kraft Cardstock, colour using Distress Markers (Rusty Hinge, Wild Honey & Pine Needles). On one of the houses add an Ideaology Number Plaque.
Colour Prima Wood Icon Border with Distress Ink (Mowed Lawn) then ink edges with Walnut Stain, adhere to Art Part base using Cosmic Shimmer Glue. Attach Ideaology Memo Pins to base spacing each one randomly, begin to attach “house” images. Adhere Prima Nuts & Bolts using Cosmic Shimmer Glue. Add Ideology Light Bulb & words from Chit Chat Sticker Book.
