Festive Felt

Happy Friday everyone,

Sorry, I’m later than usual with this weeks post, things are a little bit behind schedule  in the old craft room.  Due to the fact that Mr Mojo still hasn’t returned home from Birmingham.  One of my blog friends has suggested that maybe he’s Christmas shopping.  Nice idea Anne,  all I can say is I’d better get something really special otherwise I will not be impressed.  His absence is causing me all sorts of problems!!

Ah well, on with the show so they say.

I’ve had another play with the gorgeous felt that Sam sent out to the DT.  This time I’ve gone for the festive look.  Well, Christmas is not that far away now (as the countdown on my blog keeps reminding me).  I’ve actually made a start on buying some gifts this week, so I thought maybe  some pretty packaging might come in handy.

Here’s a simple little gift bag

I’m not sure where the original design came from unfortunately,  my template has been in my box of bits and bobs for ages. You’ve probably all seen it before and know how to make it but for those of you who don’t I will try and put my version of the instructions up on my own blog over the weekend.

It’s really quick and easy, this particular one is made from one sheet of A4 cardstock, but you could change the size and make it bigger, or smaller, it depends what you want to put in there.

I’ve decorated mine with some Christmas papers, a little scalloped border with some ric rac ribbon, and of course that beautiful felt poinsettia.

I used the new Tim Holtz Tattered Poinsettia die to cut the felt, then just added a dusting of Barn Door Distress Ink to the edges.  The leaves and the centre of the flower are just dark green cardstock.

I added a few gold gems to the centre to finish it all off,  made a tag from some kraft card and used the ’25′ stamp from Sam’s Steampunk Christmas set.  Some of the vintage seam binding ties the bag together.  And there you have it, a pretty little  bag for that special Christmas gift.

Hope you like it.

Thanks for popping by today.   Have a lovely weekend.

See you all next week

Linda
